This presentation will address different technology options that are available as tools to better communication for those with hearing difficulties. We will discuss all types and levels of technology, but will focus mostly on hearing aids and what options are available throughout the price spectrum. Additionally, we'll get up to date on the legislation surrounding the availability of hearing aids in an over-the-counter capacity for the public.
Amy Rominger, Au.D., is a clinical associate professor in the Department of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology at Ithaca College. In addition, she is the clinical supervisor for audiologic services at the Sir Alexander Ewing Speech and Hearing Clinic at Ithaca College in Ithaca, NY. Her professional interests include adult aural rehabilitation as well as hearing conservation.
